An alarm clock I made with my fellow student Kenneth Read using Arduino for our physical computing project, for the third year of my undergrad course for which we received a first, above is a video taken and narrated by Kenneth. Below is a description that we put together on how it works:
‘Our project is a hand made wooden alarm clock that can play the users own music to wake them up in the morning. By using an Arduino fitted with an SD card Wave Shield the user can upload any wav file and use that to be played back. It uses a standard input method of 4 buttons on the back to adjust the time, date and alarm and also uses a tilt switch to turn the alarm off.’
